Wellness will provide either skilled nursing, personal care aide, home health aide or therapy services to meet your individual needs. A. Yes. Under the supervision of a registered nurse or registered therapist, certified home health aides or certified personal care aides can provide baths, oral hygiene care, nail and skin care, and other personal hygiene needs. Aides can also help with other services like changing your linens, laundry, meal preparations, assistance with medications, shopping and light housekeeping. Most importantly, they can provide for a safe home environment and companionship.
Q. My mother has been hospitalized for a long time and wants to come home. Can you help?
A. Yes. Age doesn't matter! Most anything administered in the hospital can be handled by a professional nurse comfortably in the home. This includes IV fluid replacement, chemotherapy, pain management, catheterizations and feeding tubes. We care for those dependent on ventilators and other breathing assistive devices. Our staff is trained in all aspects of wound care and wound care devices.
Q. How often will you come see me?
A. At the time of admission to Wellness Home Care, an RN will assess your condition and individual needs and develop a plan to meet your individual needs. The RN will discuss the frequency of visits and other concerns you have at that time.
Q. My father needs some help to remain in his own home, and I live too far away to manage his care. Can Wellness Home Care help me?
A. Yes. This is a common call for Wellness Home Care. More and more we receive calls from children living out of the area, with concerns about their aging parents. Our nurses will arrange a home visit to evaluate and assess the physical, medical, social, environmental, and safety needs of your loved one. Together with the physician a plan of care is developed to meet your unique needs. You will receive frequent up dates from our care manager so you know just how things are going. Our goal is to keep your loved one in the comfort of home and to give you "peace of mind" knowing someone is there watching over them.
